RECEIVED
2022 07 Juin, 137 pin't
Greenways Corridor Committee TOWN CLERK
Final Minutes LEXINGTON MA
5 May 2022
4:30 to 6:00 pm via Zoom Conference
Members Present: Mal Crawford, Alex Dohan, Peggy Enders, Eileen Entin, Bob
Hausslein, Bobak Moshiri, Keith Ohmart (chair), Stephen Perkins
Members Absent: Mike Tabaczynski
Other Attendees: Charles Hornig and Bob Creech (new and old Planning Board
liaisons) Mark Sandeen (Select Board liaison), Vinita Verma (Transportation Advisory
Committee liaison), Susan Kenyon
Meeting Minutes of April 7, 2022 approved unanimously.
Reports/Updates:
Article 35 OSRD Bylaw (Open Space Residential Development)
Charles confirmed that the site plan review process by the Planning Board requires a
look at pedestrian connectivity to any appropriate external resources (e.g., conservation
land. The Planning Board cannot require public access across a property as a condition
of approval — that would constitute a "taking". Often, developers will agree to public
access through a deed, license, or easement.
Meeting options update
If the state's exemption for in-person meeting is not extended beyond July, we will be
meeting in person starting in September. Hybrid meetings are possible. Stay tuned for
where/how we will meet in September.
Meagherville "Muddy Angle" permit application
Peggy submitted the application and will be in contact with the Conservation
Department shortly to schedule a site walk. There is concern that the need for
emergency vehicle access may preclude boardwalk as proposed. Crushed stone may
resurface as an alternative. The final decision will rest with the Commission.
Commuter Breakfast (May 20), Discovery Day (May 28)
Keith and Peggy are still looking for volunteers to staff the GCC table, particularly during
Discovery Day. Contact Peggy if you can help.
Brochure/Map redesign update
Susan reported that there are just a few last details to be settled before the brochure is
ready to go. We need an inclusive picture for the cover panel. This project is still on
track to be to the printer when funds are available in July. Brochures will be delivered to
Bob Hausslein's shed for further distribution.
