MINUTES IF THE MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION Cr`.":-ITTRE
HELD AT THE TOWN OFFICE BTTII D77G,
EVENING, November 19, 1945.
The meeting was opened in the office of the Torn
Accountant at 7 :30 P.M., by Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt, with
. the following members in attend=:nce :
Lewis L. Hoyt, Chairman
Ronald D. 73rown Harvey F. T"inlock
Tha the r Jenney George M. Hynes
J. Milton T3rown -:r' chael J. Hopkins
Jasper Lane Fred C. Newhall
Raymond L. White,
Torn Accountant.
Minutes of the Meeting Held October 29, 1945.
The minutes of the meeting of October 29, 1945 -
having been mailed to each member - were approved by the
Committee.
Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt read a letter received
from the Board of Selettmen requesting the transfer from
the Reserve Fund of $3,000.00 to the Old Age Assistance -
Aid and Expenses Account to meet the Old Age Payrolls for
the balance of the year. There was a general discussion
relative to this request - whether this amount would be
sufficient for the remainder of 1945. The Secretary stated
that the Welfare Department had received approximately
$300.00 due to Old Age recovery which is applied to Old Age
Assistance - Aid and Expenses, and if an additional amount
is necessary it should not be any more than 4: 200.00 as the
Board of Public Welfare feels that $3,500.00 should carry
them until December 31, 1945. This 3,000.00 transfer,
and $300.00 from Old Age recovery makes a total of x3,300.00.
Finally a motion was made by George M. Hynes, and
seconded by J. M lton Brown, and voted that $3,000.00 000.00 be
transferred from the Reserve Fund to the Old Age Assistance -
Aid and Exne nses Account.
