Mr. Ames <br /> said that he thoeeht that was nearly correct n a se, <br /> rve <br /> y <br /> that eas made, 136 children are ready to start in the <br /> ki nderearten with three teachers to take care of them. <br /> The School Committee left the meeting at 9:30 P.". <br /> Chairman P-oyt spoke about the salary situation <br /> and wanted to know Tei?ether this Committee was going to go <br /> alone; with. the Board or Selectmen relative to salary <br /> increases which they had recommended. After a general <br /> discussion, Thacher ETeneey made a motion to increase the <br /> heads of Departments which includes the Police and Fire <br /> T?epr. tment. A motion was made, seconded and voted to <br /> i ncreese the salaries of the Superintendent of Public <br /> works, Superintendent of Parks, Clerk of the Board of <br /> Assessors, Fi re' Department, Police Department and the <br /> Town Accountant, according to the recommendations made by <br /> the Board of Selectmen. <br /> A motion was made, seconded and voted that the <br /> Library Personal Servi ce Budget be accepted i.n accordance <br /> with the Library schedule. This means that this Budget is <br /> changed slightly.
