-2- <br /> hI �S <br /> brought to this Committee ' s attention at this meeting. <br /> The Board of Selectmen requests a transfer from <br /> the Reserve Fund of A195.79 to the Snow Removal Account in <br /> order to provide sufficient money for the snow plow now on <br /> order. <br /> A moti on, was made, seconded and voted to transfer <br /> the sum of $195.79 from the Reserve Fund to the Snow Removal <br /> Account. <br /> The Board of Selectmen requests a transfer from <br /> the Reserve Fund of $25.00 to the Law Department - Personal <br /> Services Rr Special Fees Account to provide sufficient funds <br /> for Payroll under date of December 30, 1944. <br /> A motion was made, seconded and voted to transfer <br /> the sum of A25.00 from the Reserve Fund to the Law <br /> Department - Personal Services P, Special Fees Account. <br /> Chairman Tewis T . 'Hoyt read a letter from the <br /> Board. of Selectmen with regards to a l5/ increase in <br /> salaries, together with regul, r step-rate increases. <br /> Mr. govt stated that he and the Browns met with the School <br /> Committee with regards to their salary schedule, and found <br /> that the School Committee was not a bit flexible in changing <br /> their plans . The Scho-1 Committee has a constructive program <br /> and think that they should go through with it. Mr. Hoyt <br /> also stated that the Board of Selectmen voted that the <br /> step-rate increases must be included, together with the <br /> 151 bonus. Chairman Hoyt read the vote the Appropriation <br /> Committee made at its meeting of January 2, 1945 which is <br /> as follows : "In lieu of a bonus this Committee approves <br /> a 156increase in pay for all full time employees of the <br /> Town, effective April 1st, 1945, and based on December 31, <br /> 1944 salaries or rate of pay, but not to exceed $400.00 <br /> in any case." <br /> This Committee had a general discussion with <br /> regards to whether the 151 straight salary increase would <br /> be acceptable, and if such increase became operative, would <br /> the step-rate increase be likewise given. Ronald D. Brown <br /> suggested that a 10/ salary increase and a 51 bonus be <br /> given. George "•F. Hynes is in favor of giving the step-rate <br /> increase, together with the 151 salary increase, and stated <br /> that regular step-rate increases should be continued. <br />
