A motion was made, seconded and voted to approve this budget as revised in the amount of $500.00. Town Clerk' s Department - Personal Services - Total Approved $2,321.83 The amount asked for the clerk was reduced to $521.83. This is based on a weekly salary of $22.00, one-half charged to the Treasurer' s Department and the other half charged to the Town Clerk' s Department. A motion was made, seconded and voted to approve this budget as revised in the amount of $2,321.83. c Isaac iHt• Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt then spoke about the salary re- port as to whether this Committee were going to revise it or whether it was the function of the Board of Selectmen. After a lengthy discussion, it was voted that the Secretary write the Board of Selectmen as follows : "Voted that this Committee thinks it advisable that a Town Committee be appointed to study and revise the salary schedule of Town Employees and that on this Town Committee there will be one member from the Board of Selectmen and one member from the Appropriation Commit- tee." After this vate was passed, there was a further discus- sion and finally the maker of the original motion, Ronald D.„ Brown, made a motion that the previous motion be rescinded and that the matter be discussed at a later date. Hoyt asked whether the Secretary had received the Personal Services Budgets of the Public Works Depart- ment. The Secretary said that he had not received them.
