Article 10 To see if the Town will vote to amend Article XVI • <br /> Section I of the Plumbing by—law etc. No money involved. <br /> Article II To see if the Town will vote to amend the zoning by—law <br /> to change certain land from RI to a C 3. No .money involved. <br /> Article 12 To see if the Town will vote to amend the zoning <br /> by—laws to permit the construction of underground fallout or <br /> blasts shelters, etc. No money involved. <br /> Article 1LTo see if the Town will appropriate money for Civil <br /> Defense, Personal Services etc. Understand they will request <br /> $9,000. for clerk and secretary. <br /> Article 14 To see if the Town will authorize construction and <br /> installation of a Civil Defense alarm system etc. Understand the <br /> amount involved will be $40,000. <br /> Article 15 To see if the Town will authorize a survey of all <br /> Town owned buildings to determine the fea74'-llity and practicability <br /> of construction fallout and blast shelters etc. Understand a <br /> survey will cost $10,000.00. <br /> Article 16 To see if the Town will provide for establishing an <br /> emergency Town Government center in the basement of the Cary <br /> Memorial Building or other location etc. Understand this will <br /> cost 38,000.00. <br /> Adjourned meeting here in the Town Accountantfs office at 9:30 P. M. and <br /> joined the Board of Selectmen to get further information and money involved <br /> in the above sixteen articles. <br /> The first matter of business taken up with the Board of Selectmen was Board <br /> of Health requesting a transfer of funds of $122.00, which was given to the <br /> Appropriation Committee first and no request made to the Board of Selectmer. <br /> This Committee got the proper approval for the $122. transfer from the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> On Article 2 the Board of Selectmen are going to request $15 ,000 from <br /> Middleby School and $15 ,000 from E & D. <br /> Article 3 No funds, at most $1.00 expenditure. <br /> Article 4 Fire Department — ten paid Holidays which will amount to <br /> approximately $4,000. The Fire Department are asking for $5,462.00. <br /> Article 5 Board of Selectmen stated they will use available funds. <br /> Further explanation on Cabot, Cabot, & Forbes asking the Town to rezone <br /> . the section near Route #l28 and they will reimburse the Town for the <br /> sewer and water main construction. <br /> Article 6 Board of Selectmen asking for $12,870. the same as asked <br /> previously. This is necessary to get to the parking lot. <br /> Article 7 Worthen Road — Any money involved would be no more than $100. <br /> changing the corners. <br /> Article 8 No money involved. Road layout, not construction. <br /> Article 9 $4,000. for construction and land acquisition, maximum for <br /> land 10,000. <br /> Article 10 Plumbing by—law change, no money involved. <br /> Article 11 Zoning by—law, no money involved. <br /> Article 12 Amend zoning by—laws, no money involved. <br /> Article 13 $1,800. for clerk and secretary for two months <br /> Article 14 Warning system, Sirens and installation. $40,000 requested <br />
