Bateman, Chairman <br /> Appropriation Committee <br /> Lexington 73, Massachusetts <br /> Dear Mr. Bateman: <br /> A recent meeting of Boards of Health of Middle- <br /> sex County was held at the Middlesex Sanatorium <br /> to discuss the new Act relative to the care and <br /> treatment of tuberculosis. The concensus of <br /> opinion was that this law should be repealed and <br /> action was started to have this done. <br /> If this action is successful it will mean that <br /> the Board of Health will be called upon to pay <br /> the cost of tuberculosis care. These costs were <br /> deleted from the Board of Health budget for 1952 <br /> because the new law provided for this payment <br /> by the County Tuberculosis Tax. <br /> We will be glad to discuss this problem with you. <br /> Yours very truly, <br /> William L. Left at 9:15 P.M. <br /> Chief Rycroft came in at 9 :20 to discuss his budget <br /> requests for 1952. Left at 10:10 P. M. <br /> Notice of the Annual Meeting of Finance Committees to <br /> be held on Thursday, January 17, 1952 at the Hotel Shelton, <br /> Boston, dinner at 6:00 P.M. This is an important meeting, <br /> Commissioner Henry F. Long and Director of Accouhts Francis <br /> X. Lang will be the main speakers. All members are urged to <br /> attend if possible. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 10:30 P. M. <br />
