It was voted to transfer the amount of ;2500.00 from Reserve Fund to Veterans Services - Aid & Expenses . Letter was received from Cary Library Board of Trustees, copy of which follows : "Mr. Leon W. Bateman, Chairman Appropriation Committee 1725 Massachusetts Avenue Lexington 73, Massachusetts Dear Mr. Bateman: The Executive Committee of the Trustees of the Cary Memorial Library have awarded the contract for the installation of the new boiler at the East Lexington Branch Library to Mr. Lester L. Andrews for the sum of 1 .60. This bid was 84 less than that submitted by Mr. Vernon Page. The Trustees are, therefore, asking for a transfer to the Library Expense Account of 8460 rather than the 8533 originally requested. The reduction in the amount requested is due to the choice by the Trustees of a smaller boiler than the one now in the Branch.
