Dear Mr. Emery: Reference two letters from Board of Fire Engineers K.V.A. Generator The Appropriation Committee, under Section 7, of Article 6, has no jurisdiction but they appreciate your asking them for their opinion which is as follows: If in the opinion of the '30ard of Fire Engineers the generator is in good running condition there is no question but that the price of 090. is a most reason- &ble figure. That if they have no further use for the cable in question and in their opinion the turn in price of 000. is a fair one, we believe they would be wise to accept it at this time and amply it on the purchase of the generator. Painting Poles: The Appr-priation Committee does not believe this to be an emergency. They recognize the value of this program and wonder if the department itself might not outline and proceed with their own men in a long range program of covering the Town in a mar:ner satisfactory to their department.
