1 <br /> Bob Fawcett reported on meeting with Chairman of Board of Fire <br /> Engineers. <br /> It was voted to send the following letter to the Board of Fire <br /> Engineers: <br /> "Harold E. Roeder, Chairman October 11, 1949 <br /> Board of Fire Engineers <br /> 23 Cedar St. , <br /> Lexington, Massachusetts <br /> Dear Mr. Roeder: <br /> At a meeting of the Appropriation Committee held <br /> October 10, 1949 it is suggested in reference to the <br /> promotion of the men that you might make the promotions <br /> temporary until after the annual meeting in March, at <br /> which time the Appropriation Committee would have no <br /> objections to the added appropriation. <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> Secretary" <br /> The meeting adjourned to the Selectmen' s Rooms where a joint <br /> meeting with the 'Board of Selectmen, Board. of Health and the Visit- <br /> ing Nurse Association took place. <br /> Reconvened in the Accountant' s Office at 9:25 F.M. <br /> It was voted to write the Board of Selectmen with reference <br /> to the central purchasing of supplies in one of the present • <br /> departments. <br /> Bill Hall gave a very fine report as to the needs of the School <br /> Committee for the next five (5) years. <br /> It was voted to have a meeting next Monday evening at 7:30 F.M. <br /> October 17, 1949, to go over the information for the Capital Outlay <br /> Committee. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.
