401 <br /> The Appropriation Committee held a meeting at 7:30 P.M., on Monday, <br /> August 16, 1971, in the office of the Comptroller, Estabrook Hall, <br /> Lexington. Present were Edward E. Furash, Chairman, J. Harper <br /> Blaisdell, Levi G. Burnell, Howard L. Levingston, H. Bigelow Moore, <br /> Donald B. White and Richard M. Perry, Comptroller. <br /> Meeting was held, at this time with members of the School Committee. <br /> Present were John Maguire, Chairman, Frederick Frick and Vernon._ <br /> Page. Also present was Rudolph J. Fobert, Superintendent of Schools. <br /> Mr. Maguire explained the long negotiating sessions that took place <br /> between the LEA and the School Committee, which was represented by <br /> Mr. Maclnnes and their hired negotiator, Mr. Alan Miller. When a <br /> stalemate was reached, a hired mediator, Mr. Arnold Zack was brought <br /> in. The result was a 2 year contract, which is open at the end of <br /> one year for further salary negotiating. <br /> T ' <br /> c The Committee met 'next with Charles Gallagher, Chairman of the Rec- <br /> creation Committee. He explained the need for requested Reserve <br /> Fund Transfers. <br /> RESERVE FUND TRANSFERS: <br /> Acct. #2470 Rec .-P.S. $1,500. For policing the Reservoir <br /> area because of vandalism <br /> Acct. #6000 Park-Exp . 500. For chemicals for the <br /> Reservoir <br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded, it was VOTED to <br /> transfer the amounts requested. <br /> RESERVE FUND BALANCE: $101,677.00 <br /> The next meeting night is scheduled for 7:30 P.M., on September 13, 1971. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Richard M. Bigelow Moore, Donald B. White <br /> and Richard M. Perry, Comptroller. <br /> The Chairman advised the Committee on Stuart DeBard' s grading of the <br /> Annual Report. <br />
