Minutes of meeting held on June 1 ., 1971 - page 2 <br /> purchase of the Harrington property. The Board of Selectmen recom- <br /> mend the acquistion of this property. Appropriations will still <br /> recommend unfavorable action on the request for 03,000. to acquire <br /> the house and property. <br /> Meeting was held at 7:45 P.M. with Jack Maguire, Chairman of the <br /> School Committee, Rudolph Fobert, Superintendent of SchooLand Mr. Mac- <br /> Inness of the School Department . With respect to Article #9-repairs <br /> to the High School due to fire-the following estimates were presented: <br /> Construction 08,000. <br /> Mov. Equip. & supplies 8,500. <br /> Architect 500. <br /> Bids & Estimates 1400. <br /> $81,900. <br /> Estimates by Chstance Brothers <br /> Bids to go out by July 21st. <br /> The Insurance Company will examine the property after <br /> bids are received <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED to approve <br /> Article #2-acquisition of entire Central Block-with a small portion <br /> on the tax levy and the balance bonded for not more than 5 years. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED to reaffirm un- <br /> favorable action on Article #11-amendment to the Town Manager Act. <br /> Members signed the Appropriation Committee Report to be submitted <br /> to and filed by the Town Clerk. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M., to the Special Town Meeting. <br /> Respectfully submitted, / <br /> Elizabeth M.
