369 <br /> Minutes of meeting held on February 9, 1971 - page 2 <br /> Discussion was held on the following Articles: <br /> Art. #38 - Town Office Bldg. Access & Parking area X25,000. <br /> Art. #39 - Police Station Air Cond. equipment 27,000. <br /> Art. #40 - Town Office Bldg. - F. E. & E. 10,000. <br /> Town Manager O'Connell explained that these amounts were requested <br /> because the contingencies requested on the original Town Office Bldg. <br /> appropriation had been exhausted by unforeseen expenses and problems <br /> in the construction. <br /> Art. #41 -- Local Disaster Preparedness - G5,000. instead of .$48,000. <br /> Art. #44 - Purchase 5 voting machines - $10,000. - with the increase <br /> in voting population ( 19 years old) and the trend toward <br /> referendum questions , purchasing rather than leasing <br /> was the best policy. <br /> Art. #46 - Photogrametric Survey & Maps - $30,000. - fly-overs of <br /> the town would greatly help the Planning Board, the <br /> Assessors office and the Conservation Committee . <br /> Selectman Cataldo and Town Manager O'Connell retired from the meeting <br /> at 10:15 P.M. <br /> The next meeting night is scheduled for February 11, 1971, to meet <br /> with members of the School Committee to discuss their budgets . <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> • //i c �� -� i , r f <br /> Elizabeth M.
