PRIORITIES OF CC FOR 1971: @384 acres planned <br /> a) area between Woburn and Maple Streets <br /> b) Concord Avenue area <br /> c) Stratham Road <br /> d) off Bedford St. to Chalet Suisse <br /> e) RR to Arlington line <br /> f) off Wood St. across from the Schumacher farm <br /> SOME OF THESE ARE PLANNING BOARD PRIORITIES <br /> 3. ACQUISITIONS: <br /> The Commission feels that it cannot forego land acquisitions <br /> even for one year. Chairman Furash feels that perhaps they can. <br /> 4. MASTER PLAN : <br /> This has not been updated since 1968 <br /> 5. EASEMENTS: <br /> CC is at the whim of the developer if he feels that the money <br /> is sufficient . <br /> 6. LEGAL: <br /> There is a large legal backlog. It has been suggested to the <br /> Board of Selectmen that another Counsel be retained to handle <br /> land acquisition matters . <br /> 7. BUDGET: <br /> Chairman. Brown stated that of the $1,100. appropriated for <br /> their 1970 budget $767.32 has been used up to this date, mostly <br /> for Secretarial services . What should he do? <br /> Chairman Brown retired from the meeting at 10:00 F.M. Discussion was <br /> held on the following: <br /> BUDGET SHEETS: as prepared by D. Perry, they were approved with the <br /> addition of the "Town of Lexington" to be inserted on the edge. <br /> VANDALISM: the list was received from the School Department, but costs <br /> were not included. Approps . would like to have detailed costs. <br /> BUSSING: no progress so far <br /> The next meeting is scheduled for September 14, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. to <br /> discuss the Road Machinery Fund with the Capital Expenditures Committee. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 P.M. <br /> Respectf 11 submitted, <br /> Elifaeth M.
