APPRVD. req. amt., but <br /> PBC to be questioned on <br /> new Jr. High project . <br /> Acct. still more or less <br /> open <br /> At approximately 9:15 P.N. Selectmen Chairman Cataldo and Town Manager <br /> O'Connell joined the meeting. With respect to the TAX RATE, Chairman Pro <br /> Tempore Furash stated that as of now $64.30 was anticipated, but that <br /> with all money Articles on the Warrant, Appropriations was attempting <br /> to keep to $65.00. <br /> With respect to Acct. #5500 - Snow Removal - it was decided to remain <br /> with the approval of 1/12/70 of $110,000. for the Expense budget, but <br /> to attempt to hold to the overtime of $70,000. requested in the DPW <br /> L221.1—414.222 - Personal Services. <br /> Chairman Cataldo stated that in discussion with the Union negotiator <br /> that a proposal of 66 2/3 commitment by the Town for Blue Cross and <br /> Blue Shield was taken under advisement by the Union. Appropriation <br /> Committee suggestion of a 6/ cost of living increase was turned down <br /> by the Union, but, possibly a 7'4 increase would be accepted. If there <br /> is no agreement, the increase could go to a referendum. <br /> The next meeting night is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 1970. <br /> At 7:45 P.M. pictures of the Committee will be taken for the Town Report. <br /> Meeting will be held at 8:00 P.M. in the Comptroller's Office with <br /> Dr. Cosgrove of the Health Department, with the Capital Expenditures <br /> Committee at 8:30 P.M. and with the Board of Selectmen at 9:00 P.M. in <br /> the Selectmen ' s Room.
