<br /> The Appropriations Committee held a meeting at 7:45 P .M., on Monday,
<br /> November 3, 1969, in the Comptroller' s Office, Town Office Building,
<br /> Lexington. Members present were Robert M. Gary, Chairman, Edward E .
<br /> Furash, Vice Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, Levi G. Burnell,
<br /> J. Harper Blaisdell, Jack L. Mitchell, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller
<br /> and Donald B. White .
<br /> The Chairman presented the following request for transfer:
<br /> Acct . #1125 $1000. Fire & Police Medical
<br /> to pay M75. medical bill
<br /> for injured fireman and
<br /> e-� subsequent bills
<br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to transfer
<br /> 01000. The Reserve balance now is about $76, 000.
<br /> Chairman Gary, in anticipation of upcoming budget meetings with depart-
<br /> mental heads, suggested that the big accounts, such as Fire, Police,
<br /> Public Works and Selectmen, be invited in first. Hopefully, all but the
<br /> Selectmen might be interviewed by the end of December. Members of the
<br /> Committee will be assigned to specific departments and prior to the
<br /> interview may examine last year ' s budget, examine the current budget re-
<br /> quest, go to the Department head if so chooses and the week before the
<br /> actual interview Appropriations can discuss the matter and prepare ques-
<br /> tions .
<br /> The next meeting night is scheduled at 7:45 P.M. , on Monday, November 10,
<br /> -- 1969, in the Comptroller' s office .

<br /> Comptroller Perry advised that as of this due date ( 11/10) , 75% of the
<br /> Budgets had been submitted. Others are to come in by November 12.
