I94 <br /> Police Budget Police have much paper work; are using someone from <br /> clerical pool often. Have had 3 clerks for the last 3 years. Another <br /> clerk would free some policeman time. Selectmen and Approp. agreed <br /> on adding 3 poltecemen and a clerk <br /> Agreed to add 1 radar to expense budget. <br /> Fire Dept. Promotions - Selectmen agree with Approp. Ctee. <br /> Engineering.- Mr. McSweeney urged appropriation for additional employees. <br /> He must have more inspection this year. Selectmen and Appropriationx <br /> Committee will disagree on this at Town Meeting. <br /> Cemetery Budget #7350 - Selectmen will read $59,343, less funds from <br /> other sources, as requested 1 by Cemetery Commissioners. They <br /> support Approp. Ctee's recommendation of $49,365, less funds from other <br /> sources. Appropriation Ctee. will move to amend, Selectmen will support. <br /> Sewer Fund - Selectmen would like funds under Art. 28, but will not press. <br /> Sewer Laterals - Must add $39,000 for lateral on Adams St. This must <br /> be put in if street is to be constructed. <br /> Beautification Engineering estimate is $49,000 to finish. They have <br /> $21,000 left in Article, need $28,000. <br /> Blue Cross- Blue Shield Rates have increased by $73/employee. 9 mo. <br /> figure will increase $6100 <br /> Town Clerk Salary - Article is $12,500 .
