Russian's house. <br /> Some discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of havin a <br /> single finance commice in place of the present two committees was <br /> held. <br /> Trustees of Public Trusts have been requested to transfer some funds <br /> by the Veterans `:.gent and the health Dept. <br /> Reserve Fund Request — Retirement Board requests transfer of 375. <br /> for supplies. Souza <br /> Discussion of Meeting with Structure of Government Committee Nov. 13th. <br /> Should appointment of Comptroller be insulated from Town <br /> Manager' s control? <br /> Town Treasurer: With Mary McDonough's resignation as Treasurer, <br /> there will be a part—time Treasurer who will need a full—time <br /> assistant. The payroll writer will come to the Comptroller's office. <br /> Town Clerk, Mary McDonough, would like one additional employee. <br /> Joint Salary Committee for Teachers' Salaries <br /> Frank Parrish reported that there will probably be a 12% increase. <br /> His suggestion was for a salary scale from $6250 to 310,000. The <br /> teachers felt that this was too low. The Committee is considering <br /> $6400 to 410,300. Brookline has increased its scale of 35900-310,000 <br /> to 36400 — 310,830; Newton, which was paying 36000 310,150, has <br /> incregsed to $64::0 — 310,850. Lexington's minimum last year was $5850. <br /> Old Articles — When money is released, it can be used for similar <br /> purposes.
