1 6 3 <br /> Meeting of the Appropriation Committee, 7:30 p.m. October 30, 1967 <br /> Present: Don Grant, Acting Chairman; P . Bretscher; J. Blaisdell; <br /> B. Furash; R. Gary; G. Kolovson; R. Perry, Comptroller; <br /> L. Zehner; R. Souza <br /> Awsn. of Town Finance Committees Dinner Meeting — Sed. Nov. 15. <br /> Trustees of Public Trusts — votes publicized were to advise Selectmen <br /> that money is available and to stimulate them to use the money. <br /> Cemetery Commissioners want money from Reserve fund. Estimated <br /> payroll will be 310,165 through Dec. 31st. Balance in wages account <br /> is 37,700. <br /> Their expenditures to date were 335,036 regular payroll <br /> 1,198 temporary, summer help <br /> ,-� 3,583.40 overtime <br /> 39,818 <br /> Dick perry estimates that they need 32,704 to meet their regular payroll, <br /> without any overtime for Saturday work or Mrs. Mealy. (3763 overtime <br /> for Mrs. Healy to drite) <br /> Mr. James Grant came .to.ldiscuss:.this„request. <br /> IIe said that $3,139 overtime through June 26th was for Saturday <br /> openings and burials and for 3 days preparation and cleanup for Memorial Day. <br /> Backhoe was delivered June 26. IIe had no breakdown of overtime since then. <br /> Mr. Grant was informed that his request would be discussed by the <br /> committee, but that the request for overtime for Mrs. Mealy had been <br /> discussed and turned down by Town Meeting in June; therefore this was <br /> not an item which might be taken from Reserve Fund. <br /> Veterans Benefits — anticipated expenditures for November are:--- <br /> 126 <br /> re:...._126 hospital bill <br /> 529 doctor and medication <br /> 2,526.25 ordinary benefits <br /> 33,181.25 Total <br /> Balance is 3446. <br /> Voted to transfer 32,800 from Reserve Fund. <br /> Board of Health sent list of anticipated expenditures for November. <br /> Total is 3538.63. The 32,100 previously transferred is sufficient <br /> to cover these expenses. No Lurther action taken. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ruth F. Souza, secretary <br />
