HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-12-15-LEX250-min RECEIVED 2022 22 I aur, 9��22 airvi Town of Lexington, Semiquincentennial Commission (Lex25O) I OWN CLERK Meeting on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 Hosted Virtually via Zoom LEXINGTON 4:04 pm-5:10 pm Members Present: Suzie Barry (Select Board), Steve Cole (Community Representative), Steven Conners (Reenactment Community Representative), Bebe Fallick (Tourism Committee Representative), Cerise Jalelian (Town Celebrations Committee Representative), Julie O'Leary (Civic Representative), Paul O'Shaughnessy (Historical Organization Representative), Mona Roy (Community Representative), Jillian Tung (Music and Arts Representative), Barry Cunha (Local Business Representative) Absences: None Guests: Jeff Howry 1. Meeting called to order by Ms. Barry at 4:04 pm. 2. Budget Discussion: • $50,000 request submitted by Michelle Ciccolo (State Representative). • Commission needs a budget for release of funds. • Town Manager needs a budget by the end of December. • Discussion on level of detail required, needs to be spent within next 7 months. • High level categories: Legal, promotional, marketing/logo, public relations/social media, consultants. • Commission delegated budget to Suzie Barry per these suggested topics. 3. Meeting was interrupted for approximately 5 minutes by "Zoom bombing" by unauthorized attendees. Video conference restarted by Suzie Barry. 4. Logo Discussion: • Discussion of legal concerns, waiting on comments from Town council. • Hoping for feedback by end of the year, intent is to launch in January. • Suzie will coordinate with Jillian on rollout. 5. Video/Communication Plan: • How can LexVideo assist? (Coordinate with Florence DelSanto, Executive Director.) • Concord Town Manager has agreed to cooperate and assist with joint promotion efforts. 6. Further Logo Discussion: • Logo reveal —when? Coordinate with Patriots Day events, perhaps a logo float for the parade? • Agreed Contest will run February 1 to 28. Commission needs to choose three finalists and a logo winner first week of March 2022 and reveal winner and runners-- up at morning ceremonies on Patriots Day. 7. Additional topics: • Fife and Drum bands should be invited to participate. • Bebe provided an image of letterhead proposed by Tourism Committee. 8. Next meetings, by video conference: • Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 3:30 pm. • Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 3:30 pm. • Wednesday February 9, 2022 at 3:30 pm. • Wednesday February 23, 2022 at 3:30 pm. 9.
