Requesting $5,000 for a consultant to look into parking <br /> problems (a possible parking complex) in Lexington Center. <br /> This expense would cover traveling, advertising expenses. <br /> b. The fact that Ken Briggs has too much to do - workload <br /> too heavy was discussed briefly. Chairman White asked <br /> Vice Chairman Silverman to speak to Mr. Zabin re this <br /> matter. <br /> IV. RESERVE FUND TRANSFERS <br /> 1. Account #1650 - $1,825. - printing expenses incurred <br /> during 1977 Special Town Meeting. <br /> 2. Account #1125 - $7,800 - Police, Fire Medical Expenses <br /> re back and knee problems of two firefighters. <br /> Upon motions duly made and -- <br /> seconded, it was voted to <br /> transfer the above two amounts <br /> from the Reserve Fund. <br /> SO VOTED <br /> V. SCHOOL <br /> 1. Chairman White stated that if we are to keep to a no <br /> increase budget then Parker School must close . <br /> 2. Vice Chairman Silverman stated he felt that a situation <br /> exists where every saving is going to come from the <br /> lowering of levels of service. <br /> 3. The following statement re the above was dictated by the <br /> Chairman of the Appropriation Committee : <br /> "Consistent with our previous policy of <br /> supporting decisions that are favorable <br /> for the best interests of the Town, we move <br /> to support the School Committee vote to close <br /> Parker School. <br /> SO VOTED <br />
