Chairman Furash requested from John Butler a memo <br /> re ranges and increases and exactly where the <br /> Town Manager and Personnel Board stand on raise <br /> increases. <br /> b. Chairman Furash stated that the Appropriation <br /> Committee would back the Town Manager on any <br /> questions re the increases. <br /> V. COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br /> a. Settled with DPW -5.1% increase. <br /> b. At an impasse with fireman. <br /> c. Looks as if the police contract will be voted <br /> March 20th by the union - 5% increase. <br /> d. Chairman Furash stated that he liked multi-year <br /> settlements. <br /> VI . DPW-SEWERS <br /> a. Chairman Furash stated that he was outraged by the <br /> cost per foot on sewers. <br /> b. Our Committee must know by Monday night what you <br /> are going to do (Town Manager and Board of Selectmen) . <br /> c. Town Manager Hutchinson stated that he is going to <br /> fight any group that opposes sewers. <br /> VII . HUMAN SERBICES <br /> The Appropriation Committee must know what the dollar <br /> impact is here. We want a commitment at this Town Meeting <br /> Chairman Furash stated. <br /> VIII . APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE BUDGET <br /> The Committee gives Mr. Richard M. Perry, Comptroller the <br /> approval to work up the right amount to cover remaining <br /> expenses of the above Committee. <br /> XI . ARTICLES <br /> a. Appropriation Committee recommends favorable action <br /> on Article 67. <br /> b.
