New cars will require no lead gasoline - Mr. McSweeney <br /> is to furnish a full report on this situation for the <br /> Chairman. <br /> --- D. Street Lights - The Chairman asked that this matter <br /> be looked into in much depth as to cutting down and <br /> perhaps by a cheaper method. <br /> E. Compactor is very successful thus far . - has saved at <br /> least 30% in volume. <br /> F. New Water Meter Program - people should be billed for <br /> new water meters. <br /> G . Water Cooler - This should be eliminated - we do not <br /> need it at this time Chairman Furash stated. <br /> H. Filters on the Pool - this has not been done yet. <br /> Mr. NicSweeney feels that there is a lack of coordination <br /> in the Recreation area. <br /> I . Shade Trees - Up $18 ,000 - consider contracting services <br /> here . i.e. , taking trees down, pruning, trimming and <br /> maintenance . <br /> J. There will be a meeting upcoming with the Board of Selectmen, <br /> and Mr. Zehner re Westview. <br /> Summing up this meeting with Yr. McSweeney, Chairman Furash <br /> expressed his state of shock at hearing all the many requests . <br /> He asked Mr. McSweeney to make a list of the things that the <br /> DPW really wants and come back again.
