Frick, Chairman of <br /> the School Committee. He said with the elimination of <br /> Elementary French $200,000 and 9 teachers would go. The <br /> School Committee might be receptive to the idea. The peak <br /> number of pupils was 9,000. At this time, they are 800 below <br /> that, with a projected reduction of 400 per year. The LEA <br /> negotiations will be "tough" this year. But he feels that it <br /> is imperative that the staff be reduced this year. 15 to 20 <br /> people should go.
