118 <br /> Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money for the purchase of a new one-half ton truck chassis <br /> for the Fire Department, or act "n any other manner in relation <br /> thereto <br /> Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money for the purchase of a new cruising car for the Police <br /> Department, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 34. To see if the Town will amend the General By- <br /> laws by adding to Article XXVI the following: <br /> "Section 2. No person, except an officer of the law in the <br /> performance of his duties , shall enter upon the premises of <br /> another with the intention of peeping into the windows of a <br /> house or spying upon in any manner any person or persons therein." <br /> Article 35 . To see if the Town will amend the Plumbing <br /> By-law by. changing the figure "20" in the last paragraph thereof <br /> to "XXI" so that the same shall read as follows: <br /> "The provisions of Article XXI of the Building By-law so far <br /> as applicable and especially when required appliances or fittings <br /> are not on the market shall be considered a part of this By-law." <br /> Article 36 . To see if, under Chapter 41, Sections 1 and 2 <br /> of the General Laws, the Town of Lexington will vote to increase <br /> the membership of the School Committee from three members to five <br /> members for terms of three years . ( Inserted at the request of <br /> ten registered voters .) <br /> Article 37. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of <br /> $400.00 to be expended under the direction of the Board of Sel- <br /> ectmen for the purpose of prividing suitable headquarters for <br /> Lexington Post #3007 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United <br /> States in accordance with Chapter 40, Section 9 . under the Gen- <br /> eral Laws of Massachusetts , said sum to be raised by general tax. <br /> E Inserted at the request of ten registered voters .) <br /> Article 38. No Almoner or Overseer of the Poor, etc . , to <br /> act as Agent or Disbursing Officer, etc . Section 3A. In a city <br /> or town which has duly accepted this section, ,no almoner or member <br /> of the Board of Public Welfare , or officer performing similar <br /> duties , or any agent of any of them, shall directly or indirectly <br /> act as agent or disbursing officer of the aldermen or selectmen- <br /> for the payment of state or military aid or soldierst relief; <br /> proveded, that this section shall not operate to prevent selectmen <br /> in towns who are also members of Boards of Public Welfare from <br /> acting in their capacity as selectmen or through an agent acting for <br /> the selectmen. In accordance with Chapter 115, Section 3A under <br /> General Laws of Massachusetts ( Ter. Ed.) . ( Inserted at the request <br /> of ten registered voters .) <br /> Article 39 . To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen <br /> to modify by amendment or cancel the agreements dated January 27, <br /> 1937 and December 31, 1937 or either of them which agreements <br /> impose voluntary restrictions on the use by Daniel J. OtConnell <br /> and his successors in title of land at the junction of Woburn Street <br /> Fletcher Avenue and the Boston and Maine Railroad, now zoned as <br /> C-1 District. <br /> Article 40. To see if the Town will amend its Building By- <br /> law by striking out in Article II, Section 4 -the second paragraph <br /> thereof the words "one week" and inserting in place thereof "three <br /> weeks" so that the second paragraph of said Section 4 will read <br /> as follo- s: <br /> "If the owner of any building or other structure, or an <br /> applicant for a permit to erect or alter a building or other <br /> structure , is aggrieved by any order or decision of the Building <br />
