51 <br /> Article 9 . To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Sel- <br /> ectmen to petition the Director of Accounts of the State for an audit <br /> for the year 1943, <br /> Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to install water mains <br /> in such accepted or unaccepted streets as the Selectmen may determine <br /> during the year 1943 in accordance with authority contained in the By- <br /> laws of the Town, subject to the assessment of betterments, and to <br /> take by eminent domain any necessary easements therefor, and to pay <br /> for the same by direct appropriation, by transfer from available <br /> funds , or by the issue of notes or bonds of the Town; or act in any <br /> other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to install sewer mains <br /> in such accepted or unaccepted streets as the Selectmen may determine <br /> during the year 1943 in accordance with St. 1897, Ch. 504 as amended, <br /> or otherwise, and to take by eminent domain any necessary e asements <br /> therefor, and to pay for the same by direct appropriation, by transfer <br /> from available funds , or by the issue of notes or bonds of the Town; <br /> or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 12. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to <br /> pay a bonus to regular, full-time employees of the Town of Lexington, <br /> and appropriate money therefor, said money to be provided by direct <br /> appropriation, by transfer from available funds, or by a combination <br /> of the two methods, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 13. To see of the Town will vote to appropriate money <br /> to pay the necessary expenses of School Officers incurred outside the <br /> Commonwealth in securing information upon matters in which the Town <br /> is interested or which may tend to improve the service in the School <br /> Department. <br /> Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br /> for highway maintenance under authority of Chapter 90 of the General <br /> Laws, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 15. To see if the Town will accept General Laws, Ch. 85, <br /> Sec . lla as inserted by St. 1941, Ch. 710 relating to the registration <br /> and operation of bicycles, or act in any other manner in relation <br /> thereto. <br /> Article 16. To see if the Town will fix the fees for the issue <br /> of Building and Plumbing Permits, or act in any other manner in re- <br /> lation .thereto. <br /> Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to enlare the scope <br /> of the Road Machinery Fund by crediting to said fund anamountbased <br /> on hourly rental for the use of motorized equipment of the Public <br /> Works Department when used on various projects carried on under the <br /> direction of said Department, the amount of said charge not to exceed <br /> the amount allowed by the State for the use of similar equipment, or <br /> act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate funds <br /> for the payment of pensions to retired members of the Police Department, <br /> under Chapter 32, General Laws, or act in any other manner in relation <br /> thereto. <br /> Article 19 . To see if the Town will amend section 5 of Article <br /> III of the General By-laws of the Town, by striking out of the first <br /> sentence thereof the words "Six o'clock in the morning" and substit- <br /> ut ing therefor the words "such hour as the Selectmen shall determine <br /> and shall set forth in the warrant for the meeting" , so that the first <br /> sentence of said section 5 shall read as follows; "The annual meeting <br /> of the Town shall be called for such hour as the Selectmen shall <br /> determine and shall set forth in the warrant for the meeting and <br /> thereafter the polls shall be open continously for voting until eight <br /> o'clock in the evening" , or act in any other manner in relation <br /> thereto. <br /> Article 20, To see if the Town will acce of General Laws, Ch.40, <br /> sec, 30A as inserted by St. 1938, Ch. 133, sec . 2, being an act to <br /> prevent multiciplicity of proposals for the same change in Zoning By- <br /> laws or in their application, or act in any other manner in relation <br /> thereto, <br />
