To see if the Town will vote to authorize the <br /> Selectmen to construct granolithic or bituminous concrete side- <br /> walks where the abutting owner pays one-half the cost, and provide <br /> funds for said construction by direct appropriation, or act in <br /> any manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 19 . To see if the Town will vote to appropriate funds , <br /> for providing co-operation with the Federal Government in unemploy- <br /> ment relief and other projects, of direct or indirect benefit to <br /> the town or its irbebitants, said funds to be expended by the Sel- <br /> ectmen. <br /> Article 20. To see if the Town 7111 vote to raise and appro- <br /> priate money for the construction of sanitary sewers either with <br /> or without co-operation of Agencies of the United States, and <br /> will authorize the Selectmen to accept on behalf of the Town for <br /> use in carrying out any such project grants or loans of Federal <br /> money for public projects; and authorize the Treasurer with the <br /> approval of the Selectmen to borrow such sums as may be necessary <br /> to meet any appropriation made and to issue bonds or notes of the <br /> Town in accordance with the law and to use any other available <br /> funds that may be raised by taxation or appropriated for that pur- <br /> pose, or act in any manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money to be set apart and administered as a general unem- <br /> ployment relief fund in accordance with law, such money to be <br /> provided by direct appropriation or by transfer from available <br /> funds or by a combination of the two methods . <br /> Article 22. To see if the Torn will authorize the Selectmen <br /> to install street lights in the following unaccepted streets: <br /> Winter Street; Wadman Circle; Hill Avenue; Summit Avenue . <br /> Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> aam of money for the purchase of the lot of land on Clarke Street <br /> known as the Isaac Harris Cary Educational Fund lot, and contain- <br /> ing 12,508 square feet, more or less, for any-appropriate munici- <br /> pal purpose, said money to be raised from the tax levy of the <br /> current year or by the issuance of bonds or notes of the town, or <br /> act in any manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money for the improvement of the traffic control system <br /> in the vicinity of Clarke Street, and at the junction of Bedford <br /> Street and. Harrington Road, or act in any manner in relation <br /> thereto. <br /> Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a <br /> sum of money for the installation of automatic sprinklers in cer- <br /> tain school buildings, or act in any manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to accept a gift <br /> from Mr. Philip B. Parsons of 18 Revere Street, Lexington, of a <br /> painting of the Battle of Fiske Hill, to be placed in the Parker <br /> School, or act in any manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 27, To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of <br /> money for the purpose of providing proper facilities for public <br /> entertainment at the time of the national convention of the <br /> American Legion in Boston during the year nineteen hundred and <br /> forty, and of paying expenses incidental to such entertairment, <br /> in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 115 of the Acts of <br /> 1939, or act in any manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 28. To see if the Town will recormend to the Board <br /> of Selectmen that licenses be granted for public exhibition of <br /> moving pictures on Sundays to which admission may be charged. <br />
