Clapp inquired whether or not if <br /> this vote is passed to appoint five fire engineers , <br /> whether it would not be up to them to expend this <br /> money . <br /> Mr . Taylor explained th ^ t he felt that the ex- <br /> penditure would be made properly by the Selectmen , and. <br /> that the Fire Engineers had no objection to this <br /> part of the vote . <br /> The above motion ns offered. by Mr . Theodore A . <br /> Custance was passed by vote of the meeting at 8 : 48 P . M . <br /> Art . 31 . On motion of Mr . Theodore A . Custance , it <br /> was at 8 : 53 P . M . <br /> " Voted : That the sum of $12 , 500 , be anr. ropriated <br /> and assessed for the purchase of a motor pump for <br /> the Fire Department , the same to be rnirchased by the <br /> Board of Selectmen .
