1. 1-9 <br /> in Eliot Road and that it might be possible it would noto as far <br /> as Warren Street , but request has been made in that vicinity, and <br /> the Board should have the authority to extend if necessary . <br /> After this explanation, Mr . Parsons ' motion for indefinite <br /> postponement was lost , and the original motion offered by Mr . Burn- <br /> ham was passed by Vote of the meeting . <br /> The following motion, which was offered by ''ur . Albert H . <br /> Burnham, was passed unanimously : <br /> " Voted that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to construct <br /> a sewer in Hastings Road from Lincoln Street to Massachusetts Avenue , <br /> and Massachusetts Avenue , from Hastings Road to Audubon Road , <br /> a distance of approximately 700 feet . " <br /> Art . 4 . Under this article , on motion of Mr . Albert H . Burnham, <br /> it was <br /> "Voted to indefinitely postpone the article . " <br /> Mr . Theodore A . Custance explained that through the efforts <br /> of the Senator and Representative of Lexington , the Town of Lex- <br /> ington was given an opportunity to decide whether they desire to <br /> enter the sewer to be constructed for the Hospital for Mental <br /> Diseases being located in Belmont , Waltham and Lexington . <br /> In this article in the Warrant the Selectmen are asking <br /> for an appropriation to have the Engineering Survey made of this <br /> section of the Town so that they may determine before December 1 , <br /> 1928 , whether it would be feasible for the Town to enter the sewer <br /> provided by Section One , Chapter 372 of the Acts of 1928 . <br /> Art . 9 . On motion of Mr . Albert H . Burnham the following votes <br /> were passed unanimously : <br /> " Voted that the following amounts be transferred from <br /> General Revenue and Surplus account to the following accounts : <br /> Law Department $1500 . 00 <br /> Unclassified 300 . 00 <br /> Forest Fires 200 . 00 <br /> Proportionate taxes as <br /> Rental of Town Hall , Apr . 1 , <br /> 1928 to June 30 , 1928 . 500 . 00 . ” <br /> " And further voted that the following amounts be appropriated <br /> and assessed for the following accounts : <br /> Soldier ' s Relief $300 . 00 <br /> Relocating Fire Alarm <br /> Tanks and Whistle 800 . 00 <br /> Rental of Town Hall Sheds 175 . 00 <br /> Sidewalk construction ( of <br /> cbncbete or other material <br /> where the abuttors will pay <br /> one-half the cost . ) 2000 . 00 . " <br /> The Chairman of the Appropriation Committee stated that the <br /> appropriations were approved by the Committee . <br /> Art . 10 . On motion of Mr . Albert H . Burnham Article 10 was taken <br /> up . <br /> Under this article Mr . William R . S . Eaton offered the follow- <br /> ing motion : <br /> " Voted that the Board of Selectmen be instructed to increase <br /> the candle power of the street lights on Massachusetts Avenue from <br />
