Merchandise will be available for sale. One hour Guided Battle Green Tours will also start on Monday. Liberty Ride is still on hold. The Economic Development Office applied for a MassDOT grant to purchase jersey barriers to create additional seating areas. Future meeting dates The Committee agrees on future meeting dates for 2020 Visitors Center. Lower Level content edits review The Committee reviews possible alternate pictures for the lower level content. Some Committee members felt that there was more that could be done to make the mural more representative of Lexington. Dawn McKenna reminded the Committee that there is only funding left for one more edit from the Designer. A motion was made and seconded to make the following edits to the Lower Level Mural Content: 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE•LEXINGTON,MASSACHUSETTS 02420 • Change the Town meeting photo to CAAL in Cary Hall Photo • Leave Lexington is participatory • Replace Haydenette picture with the Pageant Story • Edit Pageant Story to read better • Leave the photo of Mid Century Modern • Change photo of Bowman Tavern to the new photo • Change photo of Ellen Stone Building to the new photo • Designer can pick from Clarke, Estabrook, or Hastings Schools for a new image at the bottom • Leave the OWLL photo • Check mid-1990s • We will use image of the horse if cropped, otherwise we will leave the original photo The motion passed by a roll call vote 5-2. The next draft will be sent to the Town Manager for final approval. It will not come back to the Tourism Committee or Select Board. Temporary donation plaque The Select Board reviewed and approved the Temporary Donation Plaque. Opening celebration The Committee decided to put off planning an opening celebration at this time. Staff will work on creating a video. 6:00pm A motion to adjourn was made and seconded. The motion passed by roll call vote 6-0. Documents available: List of future meeting dates, Document will proposed changes to mural, draft of lower level mural. Approved: 1/13/2022
