Chair Anne Eccles called the November 04,2021 Historic Districts Commission meeting to order at
5:02pm.
FORMAL HEARING
Chair Eccles opened the formal hearing for 1888 Massachusetts Avenue,exterior changes in the Battle Green
Historic District

Full plan of proposed alteration: dated August 17, 2021
Photographs of entire face of each building elevation visible fi^om the public way: dated July 24, 2021
Site plan: dated July 24, 2021
List of Material: dated September 24, 2021
Work scope narrative: dated September 24, 2021
The contractor explained the proposed changes on gutter replacement and reroofing.
The Board agreed that copper gutter replacement and reroofing were lovely choices and appropriate.
Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to 1888
Massachusetts Avenue.Motion carried,all in favor.

The owner explained the existing barn and proposed changes on barn renovation.
The Board felt these proposed plans were appropriate. Bob Adams scheduled a site visit to review the project.
Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to 30
Hancock Street.Motion carried, all in favor.

The Board agreed to move it to next HDC meeting on December 02, 2021.

The owner explained the update proposed changes on fence. Bob Adams visited the site and made supportive
comments on fence.
