Public Participation via calling in or using your computer was encouraged. <br /> Commissioners Present: Kevin Beuttell, Alex Dohan, Philip Hamilton, Ruth Ladd, David <br /> Langseth and Holly Samuels (not present: Duke Bitsko) <br /> Associate Members Present: Vinita Bose (not present: Jason Hnatko) <br /> Staff Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Director and Meghan McNamara, Department <br /> Assistant <br /> 6:30 PM New Business/Pendine Matters <br /> Enforcement: Takeda, 500 Shire Way, Wetland and Buffer Zone alteration <br /> Mr. John Hart, SMMA, representing Takeda,presented to the Commission. Mr. Hart stated that <br /> as part of the recently issued Negative Determination, a condition was included to remove <br /> invasive species. The landscape contractor removed vegetation beyond the intended line. This <br /> vegetation was primarily invasive species and the site has since been surveyed and the wetland <br /> lines flagged. Mr. Dennis Lowry, AECOM, met on site with Ms. Karen Mullins to view the <br /> disturbed site. Mr. Lowry informed the Commission that erosion control has been established <br /> around the perimeter of the disturbed area, and that root zones are still intact and much of the <br /> native wetland soils are still present in places disturbed by machinery. SMMA and AECOM will <br /> stabilize the site with a seedmix and hydro mulch and will work toward establishing a replanting <br /> plan later this Fall after receiving feedback from the Commission. The Commission will allow <br /> SMMA to move forward with items 413-417 on the submitted Site Grading and Initial <br /> Stabilization Notes. <br /> 6:57 PM <br /> Enforcement: 7 Tufts Road, VPC#EO-21-2; tree removal within wetlands and 100-foot buffer <br /> zone <br /> Ms. Mullins stated that she has not received an update from the property owner regarding a <br /> resolution and that this will be continued to a future meeting. <br /> 6:58 PM <br />
