JoePatowillprovidesuggestionsonmorespecificquestionsformayorsandcouncilorsaswell. 2.DanwillsendPeterLeeaselectedlistofcontactsfromSanMarinoandDiamondBarbeforePeterleavesforCAon th 16.FeedbacksfromPeterwouldprovidemoreinsightsandleadustorevisesomeofthesurveyquestions.Peter willalsotrytocontactMichaelChang(APALI)togetmoreleadsofAsianAmericanleadersincandidateCA communities. 3.ManasiwillfindadditionalinformationofAsianAmericanscholarsinrelatedsociologicalareasviaresearching availabledatabases. 4.EachSACmemberpicksone(ortwo)AsiancommunitiesinthefinallistandwillidentifycontactsofAsianAmerican communityleaders(oneineachgoverningbodiesorcommissionsofthesecommunities)tosendthesurvey questions,andthenwillbecometheownerofthecommunity. Decisions: 1.SuggestedbyCarl, Wewouldalsoconsiderengagingtownpoliceandfirefighterdepartmentsandthechiefs. Weshouldusealltypesofcommunicationsthatareappropriateatdifferentstagesoftheconversationwith othercommunities,e.g.shortmessagefollowedbyphoneconversation,andsurvey. Wewillneedtotalktopredecessorsoftownleadersandofficialsaswellformoreinsightsthroughthehistory oftheselectedtownships. 2.Onsurveyquestions, Wewillneedtoworkmoreonquestionstosuperintendentsandschoolcommittee/board. BeckyandTanyahadgottenfeedbacksfromthreeschoolPTAs,willsendoutthefeedbacks.Wedecidedthat thesurveydoesnothavetoincludeschoolcouncilatthispoint. FaithandBinhadobtainedCAALfeedbacksonquestionstoAsiancommunityleaders,andwillsendoutthe group.
