SEPAC Board meeting March 17, 2015 <br />Attending: Jennifer Yaar, Mona Roy, Lisa O'Brian, Barbara White <br />Guest: Joel Abrams <br />Call to order at 9:37 <br />No significant changes to financials. Barbara will send out the financial statements <br />once she has access to the accounts. No checks written or received this month. <br />Federation for Children Special Needs conference attended by Jennifer Yaar and Ann <br />Wolf representing the SEPTA. <br />Joel Abrams reviewed the new website. <br />He will set up accounts for everyone on board. <br />Emails will be set up to go to the appropriate person. <br />Ann to add meeting minutes to website. <br />March 25th next meeting - Jessica Minahan <br />Science lecture hall <br />April 2 meeting for 504 plans <br />May 7 meeting with Janet Vodvarka (LHS) Re: Executive Functioning. <br />April business meeting - Jenn has a conflict that can not be changed and may try to <br />find a date that works for everyone. Otherwise we will meet without her. <br />During the April meeting we need to form a nominating committee for next years <br />officers. <br />SEPAC and SEPTA update- Confirmed with Ellen Sugita that there will be a budget <br />item to fund SEPAC for next year. The money will be used for Mass Pac membership, <br />postage for letter, speakers. SEPAC website will be created thru Ellen's office. No <br />one will join the SEPAC - it will be a site council. Site council members will be <br />elected. A SEPAC is required to hold a basic rights meeting, meet with special ed <br />director every quarter and update the school committee annually. There is a school <br />committee representative for the SEPAC that changes annually. <br />Mass Health Letter to parents of special education students - read info on listserve <br />to membership. Our SEPAC does not have enough info to make recommendation one <br />way or another.. Members need to get information for their own individual <br />situation. <br />Amy Weinstock or Mass Federation may be able to answer questions more <br />specifically. <br />
