Enhancing social-emotional intelligence and building resiliency leads to higher quality <br /> education and better performance <br /> • If the emotional intelligence of students is enhanced, through programs such as those <br /> based on Social Emotional Learning, they will be more successful. <br /> 5. It is critical to improve identification of youth at risk and provide support services for them <br /> and their families <br /> • When youth and their families are experiencing problems, they should have access to <br /> quality services. <br /> 6. Changing the culture and climate for youth requires building awareness and engaging in <br /> community discussion and education <br /> • Coming together can make a difference.
