Minutes for Antony Working Group meeting of the Lexington Tourism Committee on December 11, 2013
Meeting began at 7:00 PM --- adjourned at approximately 9:30 PM

on March 15, it was suggested that our Antony Group partner with them as a co-sponsor. After much
discussion, questions and answers, upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted to co-

sponsor as a Tourism Committee event to be held at Cary Hall on March 15 ЊЉ ğƒ Α Ў Ʀƒ͵
b)A French A Faire, February 9, 2014. Discussion related to many aspects of the Action List. Concept of an
overriding framework proposed for auction: ͻ! 5ğƷĻ ǞźƷŷͼ --- A Date with History, A Date with the French
Consul, A Date with Claude Julien --- etc . . . Very important to settle on auction items quickly and get
publicity out early describing what will be auctioned!

c)Dners Amicaux---Friendship Dinners. At last meeting it was determined that March and April were the
best times to schedule these. Massive appreciation to those who hosted last year! We will discuss at the
next meeting whether or not to offer them in 2014.
d)Art auction and display. Need to find a way to sell the artwork that was donated for the support of Antony
tğƩƉ͵ tĻƩŷğƦƭ ķźƭƦƌğǤĻķ ƚƓĻ ğƷ ğ ƷźƒĻ ğƷ tźƓƚƷƭ tğƌĻƷƷĻͪ
Objectives for 2014 Deferred until the next meeting due to time constraints.
Volunteers for Committee roles --- The sheet begun at last meeting in November was added to. There are still
ƭźŭƓ ǒƦ
spaces to fill and others (that means YOU!) are encouraged to . We need more volunteers so that tasks are
shared, giving each person less of a load, and more enjoyment for all with preparations for various events! We
understand that the responsibilities and schedules of life may prevent attendance at some meetings, but if you could
ƭźŭƓ ǒƦ Ʒƚ ŷĻƌƦ ǞźƷŷ ğ /ƚƒƒźƷƷĻĻ ƚŅ ǤƚǒƩ ĭŷƚźĭĻͲ źƷ Ǟƚǒƌķ ĻƓŷğƓĭĻ ƚǒƩ ͻ!ƓƷƚƓǤ DƩƚǒƦͼ ĻŅŅƚƩƷƭͧͧ
French language marketing --- Deferred until the next meeting due to time constraints.
Financial Report --- Deferred until the next meeting due to time constraints.
Minutes --- Upon motion duly made and seconded, the minutes of November 19, 2013 were approved.
