Of the original four plans submitted, two
remain. Further discussion will be held later in October. Peggy will continue to
follow this.
Healthy Communities Grant (Peggy) - $3000.00 was granted for development
and printing of ACROSS Lexington maps. The same amount was granted for
bikeway maps. The funds need to be used by June 2015.
(GCC also has CPA funds for maps, and Rick’s Trust.)
Transportation Forum – next meeting, October 15, 9:00am, Selectmen’s Meeting
Room.
Memorial to Rick Abrams (Keith) – Keith has emailed Joe Pato, Selectboard
Chair, and will submit a petition to formally rename ACROSS Lexington the “Rick
Abrams Memorial ACROSS Lexington Network”.
Bob will read the application at the Selectboard meeting Oct. 20 to make the
formal request.
Susan Kenyon (Rick’s widow) would like a memorial walk to take place on Route
C at some future date.
Rick had a stockpile of maps that Susan handed off to Karen Mullins. Eileen will
pick them up and take them to the Library and the Visitor Center.
Current Business:
Present Route C schedule – Don, Eileen, Peggy, Bob and Alex walked Route C
on Sept. 26 and flagged post locations.
