c.) Medical Marijuana update <br /> 1.) Ethan Handwerker, met with the Board of Health to express his concerns about the how the <br />State is handling the Medical Marijuana regulations. He would like the Board to write to the MDPH to clarify <br />what the regulations on MIPs are.He stated that the MDPH is not returning his phone calls. Some of the <br />concerns are: How is patient privacy protected? How do you define “dose”? <br />d.) Plan Review <br /> 1.) Lederm, Inc., Mary McCallum, RN and Diane Patricia Alzate spoke with the Board members <br />regarding her application for a Body Art Establishment Permit and a Body Art Practitioner Permit. After some <br />questions and answers, the Board approved the permits. <br />“The Lexington Board of Health grants a Body Art Establishment Permit to LeDerm Inc. at 428 Marrett <br />Road”. S. MacKenzie motioned, D. Geller seconded <br />“The Lexington Board of Health grants a Body Art Practitioner permit to Diane Patricia Alzate to work <br />at LeDerm, Inc. at 428 Marrett Road upon submitting an acceptable CORI report to the Lexington Health <br />Division” S. MacKenzie motioned, J. Flynn seconded <br />e.) Water Quality <br /> 1.) Old Res – Mr. Cody reported that the levels have met the minimum requirements. The beach <br />will be closing for the season by the third weekend in August. <br /> 2.) Hayden Pool – water quality results met the minimum requirements. <br />f.) Vector Control <br /> 1.) Mosquito Control update – Mr. Cody presented a copy of the update regarding Mosquito <br />control. No positive WNV mosquitoes were detected. <br /> 2.) Ticks and Summer Insect presentations have been completed for the season. <br /> 3.) Rodent update – Mr. Cody presented a map and a copy of the letter sent to the property <br />owners in the area where rodents have been observed. Mr. Cody will be asking for funding to evaluate the <br />section of town that is having the most problems with rodents. Some of the areas to be researched are: <br />prevalence (compared to other communities), nuisance or fire hazard, research expectations, information <br />regarding bating stations. <br />4.) Emergency Preparedness <br /> a.) Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition, (HMCC) update – Mr. Cody reported that Region 4A <br />will be merging with Region 4B which will make six regions instead of seven. <br /> b.) Hanscom Emergency Management Community Partnership – Mr. Cody shared a brochure - <br />“Immediate Response Authority” Hanscom Air Force Base is reaching out to surrounding communities. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous <br />5.) Old Business – 21 Benjamin Road – regarding “septic failure” – Ms. Fox along with Mr. LeConte and/or <br />Mr. Neylon have been out this address. No unusual odors or any problems associated with septic failure have <br />been noticed. Engineering will be taking over at this point. <br />New Business <br />6.)
