BOA Meeting December 12, 2013 13 Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals Selectmen’s Meeting Room December 12, 2013 Board Members Present: Acting on the petition was Chairwoman – Martha C. Wood, Jeanne K. Krieger, Edward D. McCarthy, Leo P. McSweeney and David G. Williams Staff Present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David George, Zoning Administrator Address: 301 Massachusetts Avenue, Map 13, Lot 368 The petitioner submitted the following information with the applications: nature and justification of request; a plot plan; topographic plan, photographs, planting plan and a copy of a ZBA decision dated September 8, 2011. Prior to the hearing, the petitions and supporting data were reviewed by the Acting Building Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Board of Selectmen, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Director, the Economic Development Administrator, the Historic Districts Commission Clerk, the Tree Committee and the Design Advisory Committee. Comments were received from the Zoning Administrator. The Chairman opened the hearing at 10:22 pm by reading the legal notices and described information received from the petitioner. The petitioner is requesting to renew a Special Permit in accordance with Zoning By- Law section 135-3, Table 1, Permitted Uses and Development Standards, Line L.1.01 to allow operation of a motor vehicle rental business including hand washing, related office and administrative use and parking for no more than 13 vehicles. Greg Rusnak, Regional Vice-President of Enterprise Rent a Car, presented the petition for the renewal. This business has been there since 1998. At the last hearing there was a concern with traffic; no complaints have been received since then. A Board member asked for clarification as to the term of this special permit. They would like to have renewal for five years. There were no questions from the audience. No one spoke in favor or in opposition to the petition. The Chairwoman closed the hearing at 10:28 pm.
