BOA Meeting October 24, 2013 2 Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals Selectmen’s Meeting Room October 24, 2013 Board Members Present: Acting Chairwoman Jeanne K. Krieger, Edward D. McCarthy, Leo P. McSweeney, David G. Williams and Associate member Richard A. Michelson Staff Present: Dianne Cornaro, Administrative Clerk and David George, Zoning Administrator Address: 25 Harding Road, Map 71, Lot 139 The petitioner submitted the following information with the applications: nature and justification of request; a plot plan; elevations; floor plans; assessors’ property card and quitclaim deed dated August 30, 1996. Prior to the hearing, the petitions and supporting data were reviewed by the Acting Building Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Board of Selectmen, the Zoning Administrator, the Planning Director and the Historic Districts Commission Clerk. Comments were received from the Zoning Administrator. The Chairman opened the hearings at 7:39 pm by reading the legal notices and described information received from the petitioner. The petitioner is requesting a SPECIAL PERMIT in accordance with the Zoning By- Law (Chapter 135 of the Code of Lexington) section 135-8.4.2 to allow an increase in a nonconforming nature. David P. Palm, owner of the property, presented the petition. At the hearing the Board received a letter of support from Betty J. Palm of 20 Harding Road. Board members had no questions. One Board Member commented that it was an interesting design. There were no questions from audience. No one spoke in favor or in opposition to the petition. The Chairman closed the hearing at 7:44 pm. On a motion by Leo P. McSweeney and seconded by Richard A. Michelson, the Board voted 5-0 to grant SPECIAL PERMIT in accordance with the Zoning By-Law (Chapter 135 of the Code of Lexington) section 135-8.4.2 to allow an increase in a nonconforming nature.
