67-264 <br />Selectmen’s Meeting – December 2, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Public Works and Public Facilities, <br /> <br /> <br />Town Meeting and Town Clerk, <br /> <br /> <br />Emergency Services and Emergency Planning, <br /> <br /> <br />Library and Recreation, <br /> <br /> <br />Police Services and Human Services, <br /> <br /> <br />Schools; and <br /> <br /> <br />Graduation. <br /> <br />A few of the participants spoke about the great experience they had, how much they learned, <br />including what resources and support is available and how well the meetings were run by Ms. <br />Jones. <br /> <br />Liquor License – Transfer Liquor License from Nourish to il Casale, 1727 Mass. Avenue <br /> <br />Ms. Scanlon, License and Permitting Attorney with the Law Offices of John P. Connell, P.C. <br />along with Mr. deMagistris, the proposed manager owner, and other owners of the proposed <br />restaurant, Damian and Dante deMagistris, requested the Selectmen’s approval of the transfer of <br />an all alcohol liquor license from Nourish to il Casale, located at 1727 Massachusetts Avenue. <br /> <br />Ms. Scanlon explained that the brothers have 35 years of experience in the restaurant business, <br />including an Italian restaurant in Belmont. The new restaurant will be like an Italian bistro that <br />they hope to open in the spring of 2014. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 4-0 to approve the application for a transfer <br />of an all alcohol restaurant liquor license from Nourish Restaurant, Inc., d/b/a Nourish to Sfizi <br />LLC, d/b/a il Casale, located at 1727 Massachusetts Avenue. <br /> <br />Tax Classification Rate Setting <br /> <br />Mr. Addelson, Comptroller, and Mr. Jackson, Chair of the Board of Assessors reviewed the <br />revised Tax Classification Packet and explained that the packet included a correction in Exhibit <br />D to the FY14 Assessed Value for personal property. The packet was revised and the shaded <br />areas reflect all the changes as a result of the correction. <br /> <br />All of the Selectmen indicated they were comfortable with a 1.70 residential factor for Fiscal <br />Year 2014. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 4-0 to establish the residential factor at 1.70 <br />for Fiscal Year 2014. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 4-0 to not adopt the Open Space Discount <br />for Fiscal Year 2014. <br /> <br /> <br />
