DISCUSSION AROUND GRANT APPLICATIONS: Our goal for the meeting was to review all grant applications, identify all grants which we could support, and identify any grants which do not meet the requirements. For example, if a grant application does not have a venue, or if it proposes using an inaccessible location, we need to identify these problems as they are reason for denial. In earlier Treasurer report, we noted groups who had not collected awarded grants. We agreed to watch this as it is discouraging to award funds to a group, see them go untouched, and know that we turned someone else down or only offered them partial funding. We agreed to try new ways to follow-through.
