Page 2 of 3 <br />was agreed that Lea would alert the police as to endangered seniors in th <br />location where young people gather. i <br />Transportation: <br />There is a new pilot project with LexPress with vans making the rounds to <br />senior housing and new people have appeared at the Sr Ctr. With the death <br />of Gail Wagner DPW personnel will carry on until a replacement of her <br />position is made. <br />Task force on Community Center: <br />The Selectmen have approved the appointment of a task force to look at the <br />feasibility of a Lexington community center. Representatives from various <br />agencies and age groups will be meeting in September to generate <br />information and report back to the selectmen at a later date. The two <br />representatives from the HSC will be Gail and Stephanie on this task force. <br />Discovery Day: <br />The HSD will have a table at Discovery Day with staff and volunteers and <br />materials to broadcast various services and programs. <br />Committee Membership: <br />We now have two vacancies and members are encouraged to recruit among <br />interested friends. <br />Lea, on behalf of the committee, expressed regrets at the departure of Herb <br />Wasserman who has been a faithful and productive member for many years <br />with a keen interest in human services. <br />New Brochure: <br />6/14/2011 <br />
