March 18, 2013 Session of the 2013 Annual Town Meeting, cont.... <br /> Adjourned Session of the 2013 Annual Town Meeting of March 18, 2013 <br /> The March 18, 2013 session of the 2013 Annual Town Meeting was called back to order by Moderator <br /> Deborah Brown at 9:25 p.m. <br /> ARTICLE 2: ELECTION OF DEPUTY MODERATOR AND REPORTS OF TOWN BOARDS, <br /> OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES <br /> 9:25 p.m. MOTION: That Rod Cole be approved as Deputy Moderator. <br /> Adopted Unanimously. <br /> 9:25 p.m. Selectman Deborah Mauger moved articles 21, 27,28, and 30 be taken up <br /> in that order. Adopted. <br /> 9:26 p.m. Presented by Selectman Hank Manz. <br /> ARTICLE 21: APPROPRIATE TO STABILIZATION FUND <br /> MOTION: That this article be indefinitely postponed. <br /> Following discussion on placing articles in the warrant motion Adopted Unanimously. <br /> 9:32 p.m. Presented by Selectman Hank Manz. <br /> ARTICLE 27: APPROVE TOWN SEAL <br /> MOTION: That the Town reaffirm the 1934 vote to approve the town seal as <br /> established at that time. <br /> 9:37 p.m. Members questioned the vote of 1934,need for reaffirmation, and design of seal. <br /> 9:45 p.m. Tom Griffiths,pr.7, called the question. Adopted. Article 27 Adopted. <br /> 9:46 p.m. Presented by Selectman Norman Cohen. <br /> ARTICLE 28: AMEND GENERAL BYLAWS—TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br /> MOTION: That this article be indefinitely postponed. <br /> 9:46 p.m. David Kanter, Capital Expenditures Committee,reported support for indefinite <br /> postponement. Adopted Unanimously. <br /> 9:47 p.m. Presented by Selectman Deborah Mauger. <br /> ARTICLE 30: AMEND GENERAL BYLAWS—TREES <br /> MOTION: That Chapter 120 of the Code of the Town of Lexington be amended as <br /> set forth in the Article, and further that non-substantive changes to the numbering of this <br /> bylaw be permitted in order that it be in compliance with the numbering format of the <br /> Code of Lexington. Joyce Miller,pr.7, Chair of Conservation Commission, spoke in support. <br /> 10:23 p.m. Following members speaking in support and opposition, Gerald Paul summarized <br /> requested action.
