Rotary Club members, David Sears and Don Martini, are available to help.

Sondra Lucente offered to solicit various Lexington vendors for donations of gift cards;

Bill Mix will approach Aloft for a donation.

Sandy Podgorski will talk with Dave Tabeling about photographing the event as well as

taking individual pictures of attending veterans.

Mary Gillespie will ask elementary school children again this year to make thank you

cards to give to the veterans. Instead of giving the cards at the closing of the ceremony
on the green, they will be distributed at the breakfast. All elementary schools will be
invited to participate in this project.

Suzie will approach Lee Cummings about helping us find an event speaker.

Mary is working on centerpieces for the breakfast tables.

Veterans’ Day 2012

Essay Contest. Three questions were given to the committee for consideration and all

were approved. They should be made public very soon.

Aidan Evelyn of the Police Department was nominated and accepted as chief marshal.

Mr. Evelyn is an Air Force reservist.

Sam Williams built a new podium and has left over funds from the project. He is

considering contributing the remaining sum to either the Town Celebrations
th
Committee or the 300 Celebration.

Patriots’ Day 2013 Update

There was discussion about the town’s reviewing stands that are currently stored in

Waltham. Committee members feel that the stands should be brought to Lexington,
refurbished and kept here.

The committee has received no response yet for the parade’s chief marshal.

Meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm
Respectfully submitted by Sandy Podgorski
