COMMUNITY CENTER TASK FORCE <br />Members: <br />Appointed by: <br />Length of Term: <br />Appointments Made: <br />Meeting Times: <br />7 -9 <br />Selectmen <br />10 months <br />Description: The Task Force is charged with developing a report about the concept of a <br />community center, including recommendations, to serve the intellectual, physical, and social <br />needs of Seniors, other adults, teens and youth in our community. <br />Specifically the Task Force will: <br />Analyze Data <br />• explore other Towns' approaches to providing these services in an effort to determine best <br />practices <br />September - November <br />• Confirm the stakeholders <br />• Identify the services they need <br />• Determine how the services get delivered <br />3 -1 m F <br />In pursuit of these duties and responsibilities, the Task Force shall: <br />• Work with Town Departments, Boards, and Committees` <br />• Conduct outreach to identify stakeholder needs <br />�� <br />Committee Time -Line and Phases: <br />Gather Data <br />Analyze Data <br />I Write Report <br />May - August <br />September - November <br />I December - February <br />Criteria for Membership: For its members and liaisons the Task Force will draw from such <br />groups as the Board of Selectmen, Council on Aging, Friends of the Council on Aging, <br />Recreation Department, School Committee, and Human Services Committee, as well as other <br />interested parties such as LexSA, and LexFUN, and others who have experienc in creating <br />community programs. <br />Prior to serving as a member of this Committee, appointees are required to: <br />1. Acknowledge receipt of the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Statute. Further, to <br />continue to serve on the Task Force the member must acknowledge annually receipt of <br />the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Statute. Said summary will be provided by and <br />acknowledged to the Town Cleric. <br />2.
