Lexington Special Education Parent Advisory Council <br />Business Meeting Minutes <br />February 7, 2013 <br />Business meeting called to order at 6:53 Pm <br />Call to order <br />a. Approval of meeting minutes from January business meeting <br />II. Membership Report <br />a. One additional member submitted an application <br />b. SEPTA 501c3 account is in process to use next year <br />c. LEXSepta email is now set -up <br />III. Treasurer's Report <br />a. No change in financial status since last meeting <br />b. IRS filing is complete and certified <br />c. Forward documents to archive for historical purposes <br />IV. SPED Director Recruitment <br />a. First interview completed by group of 12 including two SEPAC members <br />b. The candidate will be returning for a 2nd round of interview and a parent meeting <br />will be posted and included in the schedule <br />V. Survey Update <br />a. Presentation is in review by committee <br />b. April 4 SEPAC Meeting will be the survey results meeting <br />i. Feb 28 working group meeting with follow -up on March 7th <br />ii. Parents will be notified that results can be reviewed by contacting SEPAC <br />iii. School committee to be notified about presentation date for SEPAC and <br />availability of material for review <br />VI. Events <br />a. End of Year Social Event <br />b.
