Options: Camellia Place/Worthen Rd /Mass Ave; <br />Hartwell Ave/Wood St/Old Mass Ave. *DECISION: Refer to Bikeway <br />Committee; GCC will stick to Greenway portions <br />• Should GCC look to local (CPC, DCR) funding or look to regional <br />(MassDOT, federal trans) funding? Local is available much sooner. <br />• CPC paid for Master Plan. GCC now owes Town a policy decision <br />• Alex will draft a policy statement to be circulated for GCC approval; <br />General ideas: GCC will support a regional bike connector via <br />Camellia Place or Wood Street. GCC can apply for funding (CPC <br />& /or DCR) to develop a local connector via Katandin Woods & <br />Tophet Swamp. GCC will also work with Stewards on project <br />development. <br />• Stew & Keith will write report for CPC by some time in October 2011 <br />• Stew & /or Mike will develop Tophet/Katandin Task Group at next <br />Stewards meeting <br />Lexington 300 Committee plans (Rick) — held over <br />Town Wide Summit Council in bike /ped connectors <br />• GCC too new to take lead, should fall to a Transportation committee <br />Possible CPA funding application <br />• October/November deadline too close for Tophet/Katandin project <br />• begin proposal to be ready for next open deadline <br />• Stewards have DCR proposal in for Paint Mine, and another in the works <br />for Whipple Hill <br />4. New Business: <br />Mike & Stew reported that Terry Gleason of Bedford is working on bike /ped <br />paths from the Minuteman Bikeway to Great Rd in Bedford, from the Shawsheen <br />Cemetery in Bedford to Marvin St in Lexington, and from Pine Street in Bedford to <br />Westview Cemetery in Lexington. <br />At Terry's request, Stew will look into Lexington's policy on paths into cemeteries.
