BRIDGE SITE BASED COUNCIL, FRI 10/19/12 <br />ATTENDANCE: Lynnette Allen, Nimisha Astagari, Russ Bosbach, Angela Chang, <br />Meg Colella, Betsy Conway, Rebecca Moroe, Sean Osburne, Naomi Priver, Deb Sabin, <br />Debbie Side, Erin Maguire (guest) <br />AGENDA: <br />1. Approve minutes from May and Sept meetings <br />2. Renovations Update <br />a. around 11/12 glass for right side of main hallway (not office side) should arrive; <br />will need to partition area to contain dust; will wait until Dec vacation for the main <br />office glass installation <br />b. now to finish the boiler room and complete list of to -do items (not much work <br />currently going on) <br />c. then will restart working at 4pm -- old staff room, principal and AP offices (not <br />touching the library until the summer) <br />d. it will take through Feb vacation ( ?into March) to finish that area, so have cushion <br />time until the end of school <br />e. boiler room is all set <br />i. heating system -- will not have adjustments in the room (just 1 -2 degree), <br />Facilities can access remotely to adjust the temperature so need to contact the <br />principal to change temperature <br />ii. the system is related to air temperature outside, indoor temp <br />f. Fans -- used to have in rooms but will affect the new system so to hold off for now <br />g. blinds and screens to arrive soon <br />h. note to parent community next week that after 4pm is a hard hat area, so no one <br />will be allowed in the building after that time (seems unwelcoming to families but is <br />a safety issue) <br />i. construction slated to complete in Nov 2013 <br />3. Agenda items for the upcoming year <br />a. Russ Bosbach is "Wellness Champion" at Bridge to coordinate wellness in the <br />building <br />i. all staff received a pedometer and there is a challenge for teams of 6 staff <br />members who walks the most during the school day <br />ii. chef of the month -- Food services to have demo on 11 A 5 and 25 people will <br />cook then eat lunch <br />iii. after school classes, ie zumba <br />b. new report card <br />c. 5th grade parents -- know what is coming ahead <br />d. online payment fee for field trips, ?waive fee if <$20 <br />e. parking, buses <br />f. financial math and literacy program <br />g. Family Friends program <br />
