MINUTES <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />October 2, 2012 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen's Office <br />Present: Norman Cohen, George Burnell, Father Colletti, Alan Wrigley, Edmund Grant and <br />Emily Lavine, Assistant Director for Family Services, Human Services Department. <br />Money Available as of 8/31/12 Income $55,362.00 <br />Principal $106,897.00 <br />2. Human Services: <br />a. Human Services Report: March 28, 2012 to June 11, 2012. <br />Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency <br />Checking Account was used to pay utility bills after shut off notices were received <br />and to assist a homebound senior with medical services. <br />b. Human Services Report: June 19, 2012 to October 2, 2012. <br />Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency <br />Checking Account was used to pay utility bills and to assist with a rent payment. <br />c. Ratify Poll Vote — Human Services Request for Grocery Cards - $500.00 — Ratified <br />5 -0. <br />d. Ratify Poll Vote — Human Services request for a family in need to help pay for the <br />Lextended Day Program in order to enable mother to work - $1,122.70 — Ratified 5 -0. <br />Other Issues: <br />a. Ratify Poll Vote — Request from East Lexington Community Association for 23 <br />flower barrels - $1945.00 — Ratified 5 -0. <br />b. Ratify Poll Vote — Request from Trustees of Public Trusts — Center Barrels - <br />$6,915.00 — Ratified 5 -0 <br />c. A thank you note was sent to the Yes for Our Schools campaign for their donation <br />of surplus proceeds to the Fund. <br />4. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be on January 8, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. <br />5. Approval of the March 27, 2012 minutes - Approved 5 -0. <br />
